Xbox, one of the hottest gadgets in the modern world, is legally owned and manufactured by a well known giant company

(Microsoft).this 6th generation console (video game) was released to the public on the 15th day of November 2001 (North America) and in some other countries like Japan, Australia and of course in Europe in the next year (2002). Xbox was the first gaming console in the market created by Microsot to compete with PlayStation (Sony), Dreamcast (Sega) and GameCube (Nintendo).Xbox live was launched on November 2002 which enables online gameplay.
After Atari Jaguar’s sales have stopped, Xbox became the first American game console in 1996. Then, the following year (2005) Xbox 360 was launched by Microsoft Corporation.
However, in the late 2005-2006 and early in 2007, Xbox has been discontinued in some countries such as Japan, North America and even in the continents of Europe. In 2009, Xbox are no longer seen in the market due to the gadget’s warranty problems and Xbox consoles with performance problems are said to be replaced with an Xbox 360. Madden NFL 09 was the last Xbox games at that time. Furthermore, Xbox Live (support) has been stopped last April 15, 2010.

Xbox’s Successor: Xbox 360

Xbox 360 is one of the 7th generation video games developed by Microsoft as their 2nd video game console. Microsoft’s Xbox 360 competes with other 7th generation video games like PlayStation 3 (Sony), Wii games (Nintendo), etc.
Early this year (April 19, 2012), Xbox 360 consoles have already set a record for selling 67.2 million game consoles around the world. Well, actually, Xbox 360 has been featured on MTV (May 12, 2005) before its official launching to the game market. On its first day of released to the public, the console has been sold out in almost all countries but not in Japan.

Microsoft has presented a new version of Xbox 360 last June 14, 2010 which is thinner (slimmer) compared to their previous model with various enhanced features such as 5 USB ports (2.0), PDIF/TOSLINK audio input (optical) WiFi features and more. Previous Xbox 360 models have been stopped and were replaced with new models. The first replacement was the 250 GB HD console and followed with the more affordable Xbox 360 with SKU features (4GB storage).
Furthermore, Microsoft has revealed that their Xbox 360 S is not yet their last weapon. According to them, Xbox 360 will continue to experience various updates until 2015. Thus avid Xbox enthusiasts have lots of enhanced features to expect with newer versions of Xbox 360 including the Xbox 720 console in the next years.

What is Xbox Kinect? It’s a controller-free entertainment and gaming experience designed for Microsoft’s Xbox 360. Kinect was announced on the first day of June 2009 at the E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) with a codename known as “Project natal”. It has add-on peripheral devices which enables the players to control their game and interact via Xbox 360. Kinect eliminates the need of game controllers with gestures, commands (spoken), objects and even images. It’s an accessory which is compatible with to Xbox 360 game consoles.
